Sports Day 2026
Sports Day 2026
After two weather-related postponements, it was finally third time lucky for our Sports Day! Thankfully, the weather was on our side with a few clouds and a cool breeze with the sun making an appearance during the afternoon. Perfect conditions for a great day of sport and fun.
The morning saw our Key Stage 2 children take to the field, showing fantastic determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout a range of events. Pupils competed in their house teams , Vulcan, Spitfire, Pankhurst and Bradley, earning points in each event. Activities included sprint races, the egg and spoon race, sack race, obstacle race, long jump and quoit toss, testing both their accuracy and distance. KS2 completed the obstacle course twice demonstrating great perseverance.
In the afternoon, it was the turn of our EYFS and Key Stage 1 children, who also competed for their houses in a range of events, including sprint races, the egg and spoon race, obstacle race, long jump and quoit toss. Every child gave their best effort, cheered on their teammates and showed fantastic encouragement and support throughout the afternoon.
To round off a fantastic day, parents took to the track for their own sprint race. The competition was certainly fierce, with plenty of determination, laughter and friendly rivalry.
A huge thank you to all of our staff, volunteers, families and supporters who helped make the day such a success. Most importantly, well done to all of our children for demonstrating excellent sportsmanship, resilience and team spirit throughout the day. You should all be very proud of yourselves!
