Year 3 Trip to Liverpool World Museum

Year 3 stepped back in time this week during their exciting visit to the Liverpool World Museum’s Ancient Egypt exhibit.  The children were fascinated from the moment they arrived, immersing themselves in the world of the Ancient Egyptians and discovering what life was like thousands of years ago. They were captivated by the stories behind the artefacts and loved seeing objects that had survived through history, from ancient treasures to items used in everyday Egyptian life.

As they explored the galleries, the children enjoyed learning about mummies, pharaohs, hieroglyphics and burial traditions They shared facts, made links to their classroom learning and asked lots of interesting questions throughout the day. It was great to see their enthusiasm as they uncovered more about this fascinating civilisation.

The highlight of the day was the special workshop, where pupils had the incredible opportunity to hold real Egyptian artefacts and become historians for the morning The children carefully examined the objects, made observations and used their detective skills to think about what they may have been used for and who may have owned them.

Their excitement, curiosity and brilliant questions made it an unforgettable experience. It was wonderful to see the children so engaged and enthusiastic about their learning, bringing their history topic to life in such a memorable way. Year 3 represented the school beautifully with their excellent behaviour, enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, making it a fantastic day enjoyed by everyone.
