Reception Butterflies

Reception have had an exciting week as some of their butterflies have finally emerged from their cocoons. The children have been fascinated observing the incredible changes and learning all about the life cycle, from tiny caterpillars to beautiful butterflies.

There has been lots of excitement in the classroom as they carefully watched for signs of change each day and discussed what might happen next. The children have enjoyed sharing their observations, asking thoughtful questions and using new vocabulary linked to their learning.

It has been a wonderful hands-on experience and a fantastic opportunity for the children to develop their curiosity and understanding of the natural world. We are all looking forward to seeing the remaining butterflies emerge.
