Year 1 Showcase Assembly 2026

Year 1 Showcase Assembly
The Year 1 Showcase Assembly was a wonderful celebration of all the learning the children have been doing since joining Year 1. It was a fantastic mix of subjects and experiences, and the children spoke and performed with great confidence and enthusiasm.
The assembly began with the children sharing their geography learning, where they explained how they have been exploring the countries that make up the United Kingdom. They then talked about their art work inspired by Clarice Cliff, learning about and using bright primary colours to create their own pieces.
One of the highlights was a beautiful, heartfelt song about gratitude. The children sang with enthusiasm and performed the actions brilliantly, which was lovely to watch.
The children also spoke about their recent school trip to the Blue Planet Aquarium. They excitedly shared their favourite animals and the parts of the trip they enjoyed the most. It was clear how much they had learned and how memorable the experience was for them.
To finish, the children explained what they had been learning in science about animals and their different groups, including carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. They ended the assembly with the energetic BRAMF song, which everyone really enjoyed.
Overall, it was a fantastic assembly that showcased the children’s learning, confidence and enthusiasm.
Well done to all of Year 1 and a big thank you to the staff who helped prepare such a lovely celebration of their work.
