Year 2 Trip to the Catalyst Museum
Year 2 Trip to the Catalyst Museum
Year 2 had a lovely day out on their trip to the Catalyst Science Discovery Centre.
When we arrived, the children took part in a workshop where they learned about the history of the building and discovered that it used to be a soap factory. The children then made their own soap, choosing their own colours and scents to create a soap just how they wanted it.
After the workshop, everyone enjoyed their lunch before heading into the galleries. The children had lots of fun exploring the interactive science activities. They looked through microscopes, played Guess Who, appeared on a TV screen, completed puzzles and tried out many other hands-on science activities.
The children then climbed 103 steps to go right to the top of the building to look at the view, which was very exciting. To finish the trip, they spent some time playing on the park.
It was a really enjoyable and memorable day, and the children behaved amazingly throughout the visit.
Well done Year 2!
