Year 5 Enjoy Successful Morning at Freedom Football Tournament

Our Year 5 pupils enjoyed a fantastic morning of football today as they took part in a tournament organised by Freedom Football, who also deliver our after-school clubs and lunchtime coaching.

The event brought together teams from four other schools, creating a lively and competitive atmosphere with five schools competing in total. Throughout the morning, our pupils demonstrated excellent teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship, representing the school with pride both on and off the pitch.

Playing a series of fast-paced matches, the team worked hard against strong opposition and finished the tournament in an impressive 3rd place overall. The games provided a great opportunity for all players to get involved, develop their skills, and support one another as a team.

It was great to see such positive encouragement between the children, working together and showing respect for teammates and opponents alike. The pupils’ enthusiasm and effort made it a very enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

A big thank you to Pete and the team at Freedom Football for organising such a great event and for continuing to support our pupils through their coaching. It was a great morning of football, and our Year 5 pupils should be very proud of their achievement.
