The Book Bus Returns to Burtonwood

We were delighted to welcome the Book Bus back to Burtonwood Community Primary School this year, bringing with it another fantastic collection of books for our pupils to explore.

Children from each year group were given the opportunity to browse the selection and help choose new books for their classroom libraries. They enjoyed looking through the different titles, discovering new authors and finding books they thought their classmates would love.

Organised by the Cheshire Education Library Service (ELS), the Book Bus gives schools access to a wide range of exciting reading materials. This year's collection included a variety of fiction and non-fiction books, with something to suit different interests and reading abilities.

Giving pupils the chance to have a say in the books available in their classrooms helps them feel involved in their reading choices and encourages them to explore new topics and genres.

It was a lovely visit, and we are looking forward to seeing the children enjoy sharing and reading their new books in class.

A big thank you to the Cheshire Education Library Service for supporting our love of reading.
