Year 2 DT – Linkage Monsters

Year 2 have been busy developing their Design and Technology skills by creating their very own linkage monsters.

As part of the project, the children have been learning how mechanisms can be used to create movement. They have explored how split pins can join different parts together, allowing their monsters to move once completed.

So far, the children have carefully constructed the bodies of their monsters and have designed creative heads to bring their characters to life. There have been lots of fantastic ideas.

The children have been developing their designing, cutting and construction skills, while also learning how moving parts work in everyday products.

Well done, Year 2, for your creativity and hard work in designing and making your fantastic linkage monsters. It was wonderful to see them come to life with their moving features.
